Montercarelli Villa lies in the Mugello hills in the village of Montecarelli, 35 Kilometers north of Forence and only an hour and a half to Rome by train. The villa is part of an attractive hamlet in a very panoramic position, with a view of the beautiful Tuscan Countryside, sloping down to the nearby lake at Bilancino

The façade of the villa is of the Sixteen Century, although there are signs of several different historical epochs, such as the consecrated chapel in the Italianate Garden, making it perfect for weddings. You will enter the villa grounds and the garden through a wrought-iron gate, to the left you will immediately see the pool and sunning terrace. In the middle and opposite the temple, there are flowerbeds and a centre fountain, surrounded by box hedges and young fruit trees. Some of the most famous golf courses in the world are within an hour’s drive of the Castle, notably St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Ladybank and Gleneagles and we would be delighted to try and arrange tee times. As you will appreciate we cannot guarantee tee times but we will do our best to assist.

For the convenience of our guests we have a Helipad in the grounds and will be happy to arrange helicopter transfers to and from Glasgow or Edinburgh airports as well as to most of the Scottish Golf Courses. Private helicopters will, of course, be most welcome on our helipad.

We endeavor to provide our guests with a memorable and relaxing stay away from the rigors of office life. However to meet communication requirements all our rooms have direct dial telephones and broadband wireless is available in the study. A faxmachine is also situated in the study.

We can accommodate up to eighteen people in our nine, very individual, en-suite bedrooms. The price is inclusive of accommodation, breakfast, light luncheon, dinner, and all non-alcoholic beverages and, of course, exclusive use of the Castle and grounds. Full Description: Lovely at any season, this Castle’s pink sandstone walls glow in the clear Highland light. Set in an 850 acre private estate, the castle offers tranquil seclusion yet is only a fifteen minute drive from Inverness Airport and Inverness itself, the ‘Capital of the Highlands’. Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible by road, rail and air.

The castle, built in 1620 comes complete with turrets, massive studded oak gates and doors, a stone spiral stairwell, fireplaces, arrow slits and shot holes as well as a magnificent Great Hall ideal for entertaining up to 50 guests. England Manor House I

Full Description: Manor House I is situated in the small parish of Goathurst, some 3 miles south-west of Bridgwater on the northern edge of the Quantocks. The house lies south–west of the village on rising ground and is approached by a long drive through a former ornamental park, now largely under cultivation. It is of courtyard plan and the principal William & Mary range, dating 1689, faces north with distant views of the Bristol Channel. The rear ranges of the house are a palimpsest of older fabric, some dated to the medieval period; the whole being listed Grade I. To the south lies an extensive stable court and related buildings. The history of the parkland and its ornamental buildings, which are survivals of a notable 18th century romantic landscape, are listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Manor House I is very easily accessed from Exit 24 of the M5 motorway, which is 3 miles (5km) away, and there are great walks in the Quantock Hills from the front door of the property. The wonderful gardens of Hestercombe are only a few miles away, so too is Dunster Castle, and the sacred site that is Glastonbury Abbey is only 15 (25km) miles east.

Princess Mary's Castle

Full Description: In the fifteenth century this Luxury Castle on Law Hill was constructed as a wedding gift for Princess Mary, the eldest daughter of James II of Scotland upon her marriage to Thomas Boyd the Earl of Arran. Six hundred years later, it is available for rent as Scotland's most luxurious and exclusive holiday home. What is now the formal great hall of this comfortable but unusual home once served as a courtroom - and comes complete with a pit prison behind a flagstone trap door. There's also a 'murder hole' through which hot oil could have been poured over unwelcome visitors outside.

The kitchen has modern appliances side by side with medieval ovens and a chimney rising to the parapet. A spiral stone staircase connects the five floors. On the ground floor there are two vaulted rooms, one a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and the other a utility room. On the first floor there is The Great Hall and kitchen, and on the levels above five bedrooms and a sitting room .

Many of the shuttered windows dotted around the castle have seats in small chambers set into the thickness of the wall. Full Description: Gardens Estate, home of the Knight of Glin, his wife Madam FitzGerald, stands on the banks of the River Shannon amidst a 500 acre demense.

Visitors are welcomed to stay between March and November, and at other times by special arrangement.

There are 15 individually decorated bedrooms each with its own private bathroom, these can be reserved on an individual basis.

The entire castle can also be rented as a fully staffed unit for events such as small weddings, family reunion or corporate events.

Each bedroom has its own unique bathroom.

The castle has four Deluxe rooms, six Superior rooms and five Standard rooms.

Superior and Standard rooms are situated in either the old Castle Wing or the third floor. There is no lift at Gardens Estate.

The Castle

Full Description: This lovely old country house, built in 1760, is set in 40-acres of private grounds with gardens and mature trees. The location is particularly attractive, a pleasant one hour's drive from Shannon Airport, it is backed by the beautiful Glen of Aherlow and the famous Galtee mountains. Once owned by General Sir William Butler, the Butlers of Ormond crest is still evident on the facade of the Round Tower.

The Castle is now a comfortable family home. The drawing room has raspberry coloured walls, marble fireplaces, polished wooden floors and a chintzy covered suite giving it a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Off this room is a large snooker / billiard room, with full size table. A seperate dining room with individual tables overlooks the front lawn. Superb evening meals are prepared where possible with local organically grown produce.

The Castle is a perfect location for historical and cultural pursuits as it lies at the centre of the heritage trail. The Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey and the Medieval City of Kilkenny are all near by. There is a variety of leisure activities on offer. Fishing ? five minutes away is the River Suir, one of the best trout rivers in Europe. For golfers there are a selection of excellent courses within easy driving distance. Horse riding, hill walking, swimming, tennis and fox hunting (in season) can all be arranged.

As you enter the impressive gateway of Springfield Castle, a plaque commemorates Daibhidh O’ Bruadair, a classical Irish poet of the seventeenth century who lived at the castle with the Fitzgerald family recording their exploits. The Castle is a five-storey stone building. On the ground floor is the Medieval dining room with alcoves and arches, and is where originally the horses were kept and fed. It adjoins the fully equipped kitchen adjoins the fully equipped kitchen (with all mod. cons discreetly incorporated), and a w.c.

On the first floor is a bedroom with a 4-poster double bed (to sleep 2 people). On the return is a bathroom (lavatory, wash-hand basin and bath-with-shower), and on the second floor is a twin bedroom with a king-size bed and single bed (to sleep 2 or 3 people), as well as a cushioned deep-window alcove (5 feet). On the third floor is the Great (sitting) Room with minstrel’s gallery & inglenook fireplace, beside another bathroom (lavatory, wash-hand basin and bath-with-shower). Coach House

The Coach House is adjacent to the Castle and is the ultimate in country living. It is a magnificently restored 19th Century Coach House of particular character and size (in excess of 2000 sq.ft.), with its wooden-beamed ceilings and internal stone walls.

The open-plan area of the ground floor consists of a kitchen, large living room (with stove) and conservatory. There is a separate dining-room and a TV lounge (which can also be adapted to cater for extra sleeping accommodation), with bathroom (lavatory, wash hand basin and electric shower). Guests using this room have at their disposition the 2 big wardrobes, previously mentioned, which are situated outside the room and 4 metres from the door.

The area which consists of the dining room, the large lounge with split level section, the green room and the hall opposite the chapel is all open plan covering an area of 170 m2 (1825 sq. f.). The flooring in this area is platform parquet in restored antique oak.

This area has a controlled lighting system with remote control that allows you to create the atmosphere that you most desire, as well as air conditioning.

DINING ROOM - 25 m2 (270 sq. f.)

The dining room table is made of solid wood measuring 330 x 110 cm with a thickness of 6 cm, which can seat 14 people quite comfortably.

Full Description: Casa Solaric is a magnificent restored farmhouse, known to the Catalan as a traditional Masia, with spectacular views of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is situated in northeast Spain close to many historic towns and villages and within an easy drive time of the old fishing ports of the Costa Brava and their splendid beaches, but also skiing in the mountains of the Pyrenees. The property sits in the middle of the Catalan region, close to the famous lake of Banyoles which is famous for a network of 5,000 kilometres of signposted paths to explore the regions famous mountain ranges, lakes, streams, rivers, valleys and vast woodlands. For the ornithologist and cyclists this is paradise.

The property itself is in a unique location. Although close to the highway network, it is situated at the far end of the 11th Century village of Serinya, which is famous for its historic church and prehistoric caves. The apartment is right in the center of Paris and a stone throw away from Place Vendome, Place de la Concorde and the Jardin des Tuileries. Le Louvre, Palais Royal, Madeleine, Musée d'Orsay, Champs Elysées, Opera are a 10 minutes walk and St Germain des Prés 20 minutes away (a wonderful walk through Les Tuileries-Louvre-Pont des Arts).

The apartment is right in the middle of the finest shopping area of Paris: rue Saint Honoré, rue Royale, and rue Du Faubourg St Honoré.

Walking through the Tuileries gardens to Le Louvre/Palais Royal, Champs Elysées or to the Seine offers some of the best views of Paris and is a fantastic experience.

Some of the best hotels of Paris are next to the apartment: Hotel Ritz, Hyatt, Meurice, Crillon, Vendome, and Intercontinental.

The apartment has a surface over 1000 sq/ft (105m2) and is very spacious for 2 people. It has been entirely renovated and newly furnished in 2004. The living/dining room is about 500 sq/ft, with 4 windows on the rue du Mont-Thabor, providing lots of light and a view on a beautiful building (Hotel Intercontinental).

The bedroom is 200 sq./ft with one window on the typically Parisian internal square and is very-very quiet. Next to the bedroom is a dressing room with lots of storage space. The bathroom is well decorated with a tub and shower. Toilets are separate.

The kitchen is charming with all necessary crockery's and tools and equipment (deep freeze, microwave etc.). Dining-ware has been recently purchased at Conran, one of the best shop in Paris.

Floor is partly the original wooden floor (parquet of 1840), partly wall to wall carpeting (natural fibers).

Furnishing is new and contemporary of an Italian designer (Maxalto), mixed with a few antics. It is very elegant and comfortable. The brand new King size bed is equipped with high quality mattresses. The bed can not be split into two separate beds.

The stereo equipment is traditional and of excellent quality. A new flat screen TV is installed with access to multi-channels (incl. American and British channels).
A laptop is available with WIFI wireless high speed Internet.

Decoration reflects the owner's attraction for the sea and sailboats as well as personal souvenirs of travels in many parts of the globe. The owner, being Parisian, has collected several books on Paris, restaurants, etc.

With windows on both sides (West and East) there is always enough air circulation, and temperature remain pleasant throughout the Summer.

Overall the apartment provides the necessary serenity, relaxation, quietness, comfort and luxury that discerning guests deserve after a day of strolling and visiting Paris.

Nearby rue du Marché Saint Honoré has excellent shops (incl. fresh fish every day).
A real market is open on the Place du Marché Saint Honoré every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning. A small supermarket ("8 to 8") is located rue Saint Honoré near the Saint Roch church.

The best croissants and baguettes of Paris can be found at "Les délices de Manon", rue Saint Honoré, a 2 minutes walk.

Place de la Madeleine has also the renowned Hédiard and Fauchon delicacies stores. The best wine shop "Provina" is also 5 minutes away.

One can easily walk to most places (e.g. Champs Elysées for movies).

- Safety:

This area is very safe due to the proximity of renowned luxury hotels as well as the American Embassy and Consulate (rue de Mondovi). In addition the building entrance is equipped with a digicode, which is activated every evening, night, and weekend. The apartment door has 2 safety locks and a security from the inside. French and private police are often present in the rue du Mont Thabor because of the Intercontinental and Jolly Hotels. No robbery has ever been reported in the building. If you love shopping, which most people who come to Paris really do need to take in while enjoying the sights and sounds of Paris, take a right coming out of the building and, thirty paces later, you are in rue de Grenelle where we counted 22 shoe stores. Besides the cheese store already mentioned, you'll find two small "superettes", one open 24 hours in a Shell gas station for necessities including Lu Petits Beurres and Lindt milk chocolate. Two wine stores, butchers, Guilhen is the best, Dalloyau pastry shop, seafood store and the indispensable hardware store on the corner of rue de Grenelle and rue du Bac.
As for clothes, you're in heaven, Boulevard Saint Germain, left when exiting the apartment and right on the boulevard, rue de Rennes and all the small street shops. You won’t have shopped until you try rue Bonaparte right towards Saint Sulpice or left at the Deux Magots, Louis Vuitton is Louis Vuitton but the Arthus Bertrand shop is worth a close look.
