Surrounded by vineyards and nestled in its own secluded valley amongst the rolling Chianti Hills, Chianti Villa is the ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the treasures of this culturally abundant region.
It is located in the heart of the Chianti and near the picturesque villages of Panzano and Greve-in-Chianti, a thirty-minute drive away from Florence
Dating from the 12th Century, the Chianti Villa was once a monastery and has an interesting history behind it. Now it is a delightful private residence of 800 square meters, painstakingly restored to retain and enhance the original historical features and furnished with priceless antiques.
The entire villa sleeps up to 18 people. There are 9 bedrooms of which 9 have en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are all different in their decor, some having four poster beds and some retaining the original frescoes. There is a large salon and 2 other reception rooms with satellite TV, DVD, VCR, Playstation, the dungeon bar, 2 dining rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also an outside canopied dining area and a Barbeque terrace. For smaller groups, part of the villa can be rented.
The Villa has a full time staff so you can enjoy your stay in a truly relaxing Italian way.The staff consists of a cook, a maid and 2 gardeners. Linens are changed twice a week, pool towels are provided also.
In the grounds of the Chianti estate; there is a superb marble constant flow swimming pool 18 by 8 meters, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Bocce pitch, The Villa has stables and riding treks can be organized across the Chianti hills and through the vineyards.
The garden has a range of aromatic herbs which inebriate the air, rows of lavender accompany the path to the pool, and the view is enchanting in every direction.
A charming ten minute stroll away is the famous "Cantinetta Di Rignana" restaurant, renowned for the best Tuscan cuisine and local atmosphere. |
